But only one tenth the gates of the chip Timothy has specced, and no 
video interface.  My feeling is, if the FPGA card can come out below 
$200 it will be a great deal just as a prototyping board and is 
practically certain to be a hit with the enthusiast market, which is 
getting to be a huge market.  Just ask Shuttle.

By the way, I'm beginning to think a respectable 3D pipeline can fit 
into the 2000 after all, though it would still be much nicer if the 
XC3S4000 happened to work out.  Is it available?  Can it still be 
passively cooled?  Is it horribly much more expensive?
