This is true; either that, or an alternative vendor. I like Xilinx. I think their products are great, but if we're not interesting enough to them, we have to do what we have to do. One of the issues is that Xilinx have the only combination of both large die area and fast I/O drivers. There's still a market for people who don't mind using the Xilinx tools.
