        I'm speechless.  But I'd have pronounced it Oh Gah.  Could
   we call
 the project Open Graphics Revolutionary Enterprise?  Nah.

   And I've been pronouncing it like "oh-gah" or "oh-guh".

I don't know about in the UK or in the US but I'm from Australia (Perth) and I say "ogre" and OGA both as "Oh guh". In Australia we don't have a very strong r sound at the end of words, if at all, eg. bother is said "botha". In any case I would have always spelled out the letters, the same way I would say OPG not "o-g-p-h"
