It has been reverse-engineered, but I don't know what the legal
ramifications are.  Worst-case scenario, there'll be an external chip
on our boards that does the conversion.  But I believe that HDCP has
an unprotected mode.

Also, if the EFF and FSF do their jobs right, and consumers speak by
preferring to buy monitors without a handicap, this shouldn't be a
problem for us.
