If you're working against a current near monopoly, it certinaly looks from the outside to be a country you don't want to be based in. At least in the Eu you won't get stupid patents brought against you where there's prior art. And the Euro is used by more people and doesn't have the downward problems of the US$ either. Or we could use a pacific country...
