The main street has a sign saying welcome to hobbiton from memory (Been about 3 years since I went there, I drive through when travveling from Auckland to my mums place in Tauranga). Although you'd have to take in the southern alps as well... And a tour of Weta Graphics in Wellington? (I wish :) Some of the nicest country in the world. Even if I am biased. Although I prefer Christchurch, but only because I was born there :) The weather is a lot nicer up north. Hamish.
