Ok, but for the instance, one doesn't know how much OpenGL is still tied to
SGI, and one doesn't have any confirmation about the SGI's intent.
I understand nonetheless that the open source community takes the voice,
even if it's a rumour.

Beside that, everybody know that SGI is shrinking and so, it would probably
want to sale some of his assets. Hence, an offer from the community should
be a project in itself, not a reaction when it's too late. This could be
considered through OHF ?
That seems consistent if, as you fear about, the cost of some keys
certifications could bare TT or any open hardware from the market.

How much is actually the cert. for OpenGL ?
