That's great.  But since the common sources of video (over the air
broadcasts, DVDs, etc.) are mpeg, we need to be able to decode mpeg.

The datasheet for that TI DSP James found mentions H.264 which is
infamous for needing lots of CPU to decode.  (Like a fancy graphics
chip *and* an X2 CPU.)  But it says to see your sales rep for details,
which always makes me suspicious.

After wading through the datasheet, I'm wondering if the DSP chip
could accelerate xpdf.
