We now have our announcement list on gmane.. so how about we send it
an announcement?

With the efforts of Timothy Howard and Andy we have some beautiful
pictures to show off. I could do with some eyes over the announcement.
Here is what we have so far..

release msg:
-------------------------
The Open Graphics Organization has released the first photographs of
the prototype of their open graphics card development board ODG1.
After completion of testing, this development card will be used by
the Open Graphics Project to develop drivers and hardware code for an
open graphics card.

Those who purchase this powerful PCI based FPGA development platform
are expected to be provided with significant reference code (GPL) for
onboard hardware such as the memory controller and PCI. It is planned
that cards purchased from Traversal will include a license to use this
code in their own designs with this card.
--------------

thoughts?

I'd avoid the use of the word "powerful". If you want to make clear that the development card isn't using low-end FPGA's, perhaps mention the FPGA's being used and provide a link to the specifications for the development card.

Instead it might be a good idea to briefly state (with URL to more complete details) what will be needed to reprogram the development card "in the field". Then potential developers will know what sort of investment they will need beyond the card itself.

Regards,

Arthur.
