I thought about this, but the problem with that is, that a tiny
DSP will not have enough computing power to decode a video in
realtime. What we would need would be a quite fast (and thus big)
DSP with high clock rate and everything. I don't think that there
is still that much freedom left on the board that such a beast could
be easily fit in.

Beside there is the problem of bandwidht. 60 wires are very little
if you want to transfere data at a high rate.

A much better idea would be to use the IDC connector and connect
a DSP over it. 

Yes, i have some thoughts about how to do fast video decoding
with OGD1, but i couldn't put them into any form that could
be even remotely implemented as my work gets too often into
the way of my free time these days :-/
(Maybe i should look for a job where i can invest more times
on OGP and OSS in generall...)

Apropos video decoding, how many people here are familiar with
video codecs and know how to write VHDL/Verilog? Resp how many
of the people here would be interested in getting the required
knowledge to help with it?
