I did not really _personally_ touch the security aspects of an
OpenHardware SoC, but truth is there is an evergrowing business /
enterprise market out there that I am sure would like some OPEN
assurances that their security will not be hamstrung by some
invisible
hidden back door.
In practice, though, the high-volume makers don't care a **** about
security because they won't be bothered by Joe sixpack about a problem
with their new sub-200$ tablet toy.
The makers are in it for the profit.
Now it is important to recognise that we (since are subscribed
on this list) have different needs. My approach is to just do what
*I* need then adapt, tune, extend, progress whenever others need
something a bit like what I've already done. It's the easiest and
safest way to grow something that works and scales predictably.
Hence my question of : what can each subscriber DO :-)
Regards,
YG
