Dear Dan and George,
As it seems that the previous message from my colleague Linda has not
been delivered to the list correctly, I would also like to thank you
very much for all advices and recommendations! I shall test it tonight -
as far as I can tell it shall probably solve the problems we have
encountered...

Hi Václav:
A quick email as I'm in a meeting at the moment, I'll try to follow up
with more later:
I found that there were some problems in the translation as 1.4.0.2
was being packaged - the build was generating an empty lang.dtd file,
and I had to commit the following change to make it work:
http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/changeset/12349/branches/rel_1_4_0/build/i18n/po/cs-CZ/lang.dtd.po
- this was part of http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/ticket/44
I don't recall there being a problem with the OPAC or loading the
strings into database, but I will certainly retest when I get the
chance.
I retested, and found the problem with the OPAC that you must have
been seeing; http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/changeset/12605 shows
the required change ('%' had to be changed to a character escape).
I didn't find any problems loading the cs-CZ strings into the
database; they loaded cleanly, no duplicate errors reported.
I also added Czech to the supported languages.
