Run 'dmesg -c' before starting open-iscsi. Then, start open-iscsi, run again 'dmesg -c' and send its output. Also, you're trying to run on a strange setup - kernel 2.6.18-rc3 (which is old and is a RC instead of GA) and an old version of open-iscsi. Is it on purpose?
