The attached patch should resolve the first part of the problem. It's just a
matter of adding
<outputFileNameMapping>openjpa-${version}.${extension}</outputFileNameMapping>
to the assembly xml file.
I'm not sure about the second part of the problem. There should be a similar
way to override the -project suffix, but I haven't been able to find it.
