I can set it up as a separate ZFS file system and reserve its space,
if that helps.

I plan on using daily ZFS snapshots to be able to recover from file
system corruption.  If something goes horribly wrong, I can always
shut down OpenAFS, revert to last night's snapshot, and then start it
back up again.
