If you're referring to creating a Datasource, this is the result:

Could not verify datasource: Could not create connection to database
server. Attempted reconnect 3 times. Giving up.

These are the values entered into the form:

OpenBD Datasource name: client ssp
Database name: ssp
Database Server: localhost
Server Port: 3306
user: root
password: ****

That error has been consistent since I added "mysql.jar" to OBD's /lib.
Prior to installing mysql.jar, I would receive a ConnectionException
error with a page-filling StackTrace.

What is the difference in how OBD connects to the database server vs.
how Navicat connects?
