Hi,I'm following the ODBC driver installation procedure found here: http://www.newatlanta.com/c/support/bluedragon/self_help/faq/detail?faqId=216
Bear in mind that OpenBD is on a different development path than BlueDragon, so don't expect the functionality to be the same between the two.
Step 5 in the ODBC section reads in part "choose the "ODBC Refresh" button below the list of any current datasources"
Unless you're on Windows you really shouldn't be using ODBC. Even on Windows you really shouldn't be using ODBC unless you have to.
The only button present is the "Verify All Datasources" button. Is there a button missing from the Datasources page?
No, see above.
Note: I created a User DSN using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver downloaded from the link provided on the newatlanta.com page. When tested, it connects sucessfully.
I'm totally confused now--are you on Windows? How are you using ODBC if you're on a Mac? Didn't even realize that was an option.
You REALLY should be using the standard JDBC connectivity. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble getting it working that way, but throwing ODBC into the mix on a Mac will, in my opinion, only complicate matters further.
