It doesn't install the OS for you.  I think they mean it's been tested 
on CentOs5

It states:

The Installer creates a stand-alone instance of OpenBD, Tomcat, and 
Sun's JRE 1.6 specifically for use with OpenBD. It also makes installing 
the web server connector a snap.
