My desktop is Ubuntu here at work, and my java_home in OpenBD is properly being reported as /opt/openbd/jdk/jre, so this part looks good.
I think where OpenBD looks for it's libs is a big part of what the issue is here (if not the entire issue) because it does work as a WAR. So... if everything is in a WEB-INF directory we're okay, but not if it's a common-class in a custom directory. That seems to me to indicate a problem with things resolving properly.
