Wow. That seems like an "always moving target" to be maintaining an app for.

I'd think it would just be easier to have a dev box with a virgin OpenBD install set aside for this. Just throw in the client's existing CFML and have QA regression-test the site as usual. Once you've fixed anything, move it over to a production instance and wipe your virgin box clean for the next client.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
