I'm not sure if I fully understand the nature of the question. If you have been using the R2R package and you're happy with it, then there's really no need to switch. It's mostly about personal preference and familiarity.

The installers were made to both have the flexibility to scale (I've created several clustered environments using the installers), and be as similar as possible to existing CFML servers. There are some limitations, like a custom connector, that the installers don't yet have, but I believe we will overcome those as well in time. My eventual goal is that folks can move (as easily as possible) to and from any CFML server available with as little of a learning curve as possible. At the same time, it is not my intention to replace or diminish any other deployment method. Use what you like. Use what you need. It's part of the beauty of open-source. I have nothing to push as far as deployment methods. The installers are just there if they can help you.
