I run Ubuntu 8.04.3 here, although I'm a cheater because I use Webmin
much more than the command line...
This looks to be the part where the installer tried to place the script
into init.d that would auto-start Tomcat when your system starts up.
So, while the installer probably had the permissions it needed to
install OpenBD, it may have had issues touching your init.d stuff.
Can you locate the Tomcat directory, and once found, can you manually
execute "sudo... tomcat/bin/startup.sh" and get your OpenBD running that
way? If so, then perhaps the auto-start script install was the only part
that failed and there's lots of blog stuff on how to patch that in yourself.
HTH, I'm totally guessing here.
