Hey I like to cheat as much as possible. GUI is great! I loved this installer for that reason. I think i heard that Webmin doesn't work with newer versions of Ubuntu. Do you know? Because if it does I'm all for it. > This looks to be the part where the installer tried to place the script > into init.d that would auto-start Tomcat when your system starts up. Okay, that makes sense. I wonder why that would fail. > So, while the installer probably had the permissions it needed to > install OpenBD, it may have had issues touching your init.d stuff. > > Can you locate the Tomcat directory, and once found, can you manually > execute "sudo... tomcat/bin/startup.sh" and get your OpenBD running that > way? It turns out the Tomcat directory is off of the /opt/openbd/tomcat/bin/startup.sh However if I *could* figure out how to make the installer complete with no errors, I'd prefer to do that. I'm worried that maybe there were other things that were supposed to happen that didn't during installation. > HTH, I'm totally guessing here. Hey, thank you for taking a wack. Its very reassuring to get a quick and in-the-ball-park answer. nUboon2Age -- Open BlueDragon Public Mailing List http://www.openbluedragon.org/ http://twitter.com/OpenBlueDragon online manual: http://www.openbluedragon.org/manual/ mailing list - http://groups.google.com/group/openbd?hl=en
