I suppose your "Gold Star" wording could have been taken as a little condescending... Here in the states, school teachers will often place a little gold star or happy face on the work of pre-school children - to make them feel good about their little accomplishments. I doubt you meant it in that way.

Text lacks the vocal inflections that often indicate intent (for example, my own brand of sardonic humor was a total miss-fire on this list about a year ago), and phrases mean different things in different places. So I've mostly tried to use my plain words ever since.

Oh gosh. Am I practicing my "apologetics" again? Sorry!
