This has been fixed and the fixed windows installers have been updated
on http://openbd.viviotech.net/ . I didn't update the patch level
numbers because it was such a small/quick fix.
Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

Ugh. That's what I get for sharing code between the two installers. I'll
get this fixed promptly.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I resolved the issue. After
looking at the tomcat logs I saw that it was complaining that port
8005 was in use. After running a netstat -ab I was able to determine
that port 8005 was being used by a program called "LogMeIn" which I
promptly uninstalled. After restarting the apache tomcat openbd
service, I was able to get to the openbd administrator and log in.
Just a point of interest here, in IIS7 under the ISAPI filters, the
openbd entry is listed as "Railo" this time. It used to be openbd.
Thanks a lot for the help in resolving this issue.

You can check the Tomcat logs directly in c:\optenbd\tomcat\logs\ and
see if they yield any more helpful information.
The catalina log would probably be the most useful place to start.
Hope this helps!

Subject: [OpenBD] Re: openbd sbs 2008 iis7
I downloaded the 1.3 installer 64-bit. I uninstalled 1.2 and ran the
1.3 without issues. I tried to access the openbd administrator and it
still didn't come up. Again, I noticed that the apache tomcat openbd
service wasn't started so I started it again and tried to access the
openbd administrator and still no luck. Then I went back to the
services panel and I noticed that the apache tomcat openbd service was
stopped. I looked in the Windows system log and I found the following
error:

The installer was updated and improved for 1.3 but it appears that the
website hasn't been updated yet. I know that Jordan worked a lot on the
IIS integration. I'd recommending installing the 1.2 version and trying
the 1.3 installer:
You can find the right installer here:http://openbd.viviotech.net/
Make sure you use the 64bit version if you are running a 64bit OS.

I need to get openbd running on a sbs 2008 server to serve a cfml
application. I downloaded the 1.2 windows installer, ran it, ensured
that enable IIS 7 was checked and it finished with no issues. So, I
went to the openbd administrator
athttp://localhost:8888/openbd/administrator/login.cfm
and I get page cannot be displayed. So, I went under "Services" and
noticed that the "Apache Tomcat OpenBd" service was not started so i
started it. Again I tried to access the openbd administrator and still
no love. So then I went to the "Open Bluedragon" group in the start
menu and tried launching the "OpenBD-Tomcat Service Monitor" which of
course gave me "Access Denied" error. So, I chose "Run as
administrator" which successfully launched it. So in "Apache Tomcat
OpenBD Properties" window I noticed that the "Tomcat 6" service said
it was stopped which I thought was strange since I had just started it
under the "Services" panel in Windows. So, I started it and again I
tried to access the openbd administrator and still no love. So, I went
under the IIS 7 Manager and looked at the "ISAPI Filters" and I saw
the OpenBD filter listed. So, at this point I'm stumped. What gives?
I suspect some kind of permissions issue but I don't know where to
even start.
I need to have this running under SBS 2008 since this is the only
server in the customer's site and only one public IP. Exchange 2007 is
configured and running with OWA.
I would appreciate some help on this issue.
Cheers
