It's funny this question should come up because I've been thinking about
building an app I'd love to deploy just like http://status.net/ - i.e. one
on which your account be hosted or one which you can literally just as
easily just download and host yourself.

But to additionally be able to host it without any special tooling or
expertise would bring a whole new meaning to the term "Open."

I've been following the Gov 2.0 movement for a while and a sentiment I hear
again and again is that knowing something about programming is now a
prerequisite for thriving in today's world (http://j.mp/bWvxz1 and
http://j.mp/9mUTp4 off the top of my head but many other places...)

If CFML can be that language that everyone kind of knows (like HTML) and
which can be hosted anywhere for free and minimal effort, but which can
handle complex business logic, scaffolding, orm, aop, enterprise system
integration, etc with the big boys, well, I agree I'd call that combination
a good candidate for a holy grail.
