I can only chip in my own experience we stopped using main stream CF server
in 2005, we originally were using BlueDragon commercial edition which we
moved to from being distinctly unimpressed by the CF7 release. My gut was
that 7 was the writing on the wall it was very unimpressive, then 8 was
hopeful but 9 again had the odd thing but nothing that made me regret the
move.

It will be interesting to see where CF 10 goes, Flex i have had a bad taste
since I was one of the companies that adopted the 1.0 server product and
did a massively painful and expensive loss leading project strange, so
frankly I'm glad to see that dead..did someone say die die die :)

As for my opinion, Open BD is for us the best of the compatible engines,
Railo is impressive but we couldn't run our stuff on Railo even if we
wanted to because the differences in Context handling.

I spent a lot of time when we moved to Bluedragon 6 raising a ton of
compatibility bugs and getting very used to writing simple test cases. When
we looked at Open BD we found the odd minor thing but our experience in
producing reproducible test cases has meant that I can honestly say at
present we are having to work around 0,

2.0 is awesome, use it!
