Hello,
I've found a possible workaround.
At first, I create a temporary directory and ask OpenBD to upload to it.
Now I can get the filename, chosen by the user, in cffile.ServerFile and
can do some replacements.
As next step, I use "cfdirectory" with "action=list" to find out how the
file was stored by OpenBD to my temporary directory and move it in place
with the new filename, created in the previous step.
Last step: Delete temporary directory.
A really silly workaround but it works...
The whole bug doesn't only affect file uploads. It also happens if I use
"cffile" with action "move" with special characters in "destination".
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Mats has good advice here ... it is always safe to clean up file names
before hand.
Please file a bug and we'll add in some extra checking too.

Can someone please suggest a possible workaround? Am I able to replace
characters on my own?
Yours
Manuel
