Yes, the idea is to provide a complete webshop with all that goes with it, 
just as all the big e-commerce packages/systems out there.
I would like to make a plugin system to let people easily add/remove 
functions, or I could just have them there by default, saving a little bit 
of server HDD space and download bandwidth isn't as big of an issue today 
as it used to be.

I'm not sure I follow about using for example separate payment/gift cards, 
but it shouldn't be a big deal, I mean it's all just databases and 
variables, can you give an example of what you mean? Maybe I'm just not 
thinking about it in the same terms you are.
