does somebody know what is better for i18n-files - UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1? I find both in other translated files (charset) and don't know what I should use.
I use an UTF-8 locale on my laptop and at home, but I use ISO-8859-1 at work. And that is not going to change soon. So, I made everything so that it is pure ASCII:
- All HTML output, be it in web pages or in Perl use HTML entities - All Javascript use the \xdd escapes (encoding is Unicode always) - I still don't know how to do it for VBscript That way it can be edited anywhere. It is ugly to edit everywhere, though.
