Hi, reporting how i got along with version 0.9.1.
1) with gmake (remember i'm using NetBSD):
ccabrera@dodo:/usr/local/src/openca-0.9.1$ gmake
autoconf
FATAL ERROR: Autoconf version 2.50 or higher is required for this script
gmake: *** [configure] Error 2
If it's of any help:
ccabrera@dodo:/usr/local/src/openca-0.9.1$ gmake -v
GNU Make version 3.79.1, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath.

$make worked fine!!! :))
yet make test:
cd etc && make test
cd lib && make test
make cmds functions locale SUBTARGET=test
cd cmds && make test
make: don't know how to make test. Stop
*** Error code 2
