Where and when do you have this error. If OpenCA creates a serial in this file with more than one leading zero then this is a bug which must be fixed. I fixed some issues with serials during recovery in the past.

*** I ment when I worked with openssl a few years ago without openca. I created serial with 000 and it has not worked. Is this an error in openssl?
