if you gonna use the same database - there is no need to install the interfaces in separate directories ;)Hi!
I installed Openca according to the "dartmouth"-Howto with
- the online-stuff at /opt/openra/* (RA, RA-Node, Pub) and - the offline-stuff at /opt/openca/* (CA, CA-Node)
I configured the ca to used a pg-database named "openca" and the ra to use a pg-database named "openra"
so it would be perfectly enough to put all in the same directory structure, the interfaces will have separatly directories by its own...
you just do this, if you gonna go, to check communication between separeted parts on the same machine, which you plan to deploy on different hosts later, like the ca as offline system...
With this configuration i always have to do (see dartmouth-howto) "the> and certs from ca to ra.
data exchange stuff" when i want to tranfer request from ra to ca
thats right, thats what its for ;)
yes and you should also use the same directories, espacially the var dirs... so any new request on the user-interface would be editable at the ca-interface as soon as its in the databaseMy question is now: Does this installation also work, if i configure for ra and ca the same (only one) posgres-database????
greetings dalini
