The heeding of notAfter and notBefore was introduced with version 1.60 of
crypto-utils.lib. As mentioned earlier I branched my productions version
with 0.9.2 RC6, which contained version 1.59 of crypto-utils.lib :>
ARGH - hmm, as I dont use SUCH an old version, I never thought about
this, perhaps an overall upgrade to 0.9.2.4 might be the better choice,
I dont know where are more pitfalls regarding versions

No problem at all, works like a charm :)
For the records: Using 0.9.2 RC5 with some of the newer stuff plugged in
by hand. To make Olivers addition work I further needed to plug Michaels
notafter/notbefore patch only, namely:
