Hi Michael,

1. Is there any way to renew via the batch-interface

Yes, you can do this, but you have to write some new code for this...
IIRC it might work to re-issue the old CSR which will make it necessary for you to find it in the database from the data you put into the batch...Should be not such a hard job :)

2. Is there any way to change the validity duration
   via the batch-interface?

Yes, this works, I added this for the 0.9.2.4 release.
You can specifiy the new keyword "EXPIRES YYMMDDhhmmss" in the batch file which is than honored You can fetch the new command here, if you are using an older version than 0.9.2.4 http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/openca/openca-0.9/src/common/lib/bp/Attic/complete_csr.sub?rev=1.3.2.2&only_with_tag=openca_0_9_2&view=auto

Hi Oliver!

Integrating the new complete_csr.sub was easy, but alas the new certificates
still got the default
365 days validity. ./var/pb/users/.../EXPIRE is there, has the correct format
and the batch
interface runs through smoothly.

Pasted from the "Approved Certificates Request" overview of the CA interface
the following excerpt
of the request:

 Lifetime (days) n/a
Lifetime check Lifetime would be ok.

Not really sure about the to-be-expected output here, but it seems to me like
the EXPIRE date never
made it to the request.

My openca system is a beta version of 0.9.2 with several but not all of the
later patches
integrated, just so its running reliably. Were there any problems related to
the expiration
date in other parts of openca before 0.9.2.4?

Regards
Michael
