There was a mail saying yes, but hmm decide by yourself ;)

Til, you are always welcome to contribute if you want to.

Is OpenXPKI actively under development?

Well you will find some mails on the devel list about that
topic. Basically the one person, who "owns" Openca, isnt
very active, has his hands on this projects and has rejected some necessary changes. So all active developers made a fork.

That is not true, all the old `issues' that were raised was about
the project's management. Contribution with ideas and code submissions
have never been an issue in our project (indeed there have been many
contributions throughout the years).

It is true that I have been really busy with my PhD last year
and I could not work much on the project's code, but there have been
many changes and more are coming along. Indeed my new university is
willing to directly support my work on the project and its new
design implementation...

I strongly suggest everybody to take a look at the new libpki project.
I will try to put on the web the new documentation about the library
as soon as possible. Right now I am implementing the basic functionality,
so it is a very early-stage development.

Openca runs for years now, so it is ready.
Openxpki is still under development, but i think two
production pki are running.

This is definitely both welcome and great for all the people who wants
to run a PKI.

I would say that for OpenCA, one of our new goals is to simplify both
PKI management (installation, setup and running) and integration of
PKI technologies into applications.

Cheers,
Max
