Adrian: It's just like a heap of mailing lists and it became popular
somehow, I don't see any advantage of it over email and generally I
don't use it - it is infested with SPAM and worse email address
collection robots.

Adrian: I have tried using WebSharing to test the cgis but can't get
it to work at all, the cgi never receives an appleEvent - though it
may be my coding... Perhaps you could privately email me an
example of a appleEvent handler for a cgi so I could be sure it was
WebSharing. I think I should have it right though. How does one
go about using HC cgis with WebSharing?
Adrian: I've never used NetPresenz and the only reason I use Quid
Pro Quo is because it's free and I know where to get it. I'm happy
to test the cgi with any web sharing software, though I'm not
prepared to pay for it as I don't plan to do any web sharing anyway.

Adrian: I can test the cgi without an internet connection, by
"fooling" the computer into thinking it has one, but I need web
sharing software to use this method (and I get that off the internet.)
If you know ways to test it without web sharing software I'd be very
interested. For now I'm just testing it by calling the functions and
writing the results to a file then opening the file with Netscape. It
doesn't test the AppleEvent handler though.
