HC has "pi". Better stick with that. Also, � is not supported on all
platforms. We can't use it.

You mean, make "pi" and "e" variables which can be set in any script, but
default to the values of � and e? This would be a workaround. You could
also special-case these constants so that they return a constant value if
there is no local variable of this name, but else get compiled as a
variable. That would mean, make variables override any language keywords.
