I am witholding more specific comments for the time being until it becomes
clear whether the thread goes off list. In the meantime I would offer
these thoughts:
1. While I think it has reached the stage where the subject should be
seperated from day-to-day correspondence, I also think it is most
appropriate that members of this group continue sharing their thoughts.
This is not a list where newbies ask for assistance. This is a smaller
group focused on a long-term, world-class, joint creative effort. Letting
our hair down philosophically can only improve our teamwork and
commitment...so long as it is taken in the right spirit. To my mind, even
lurkers will understand a lot more about OC if they follow the discussion.
2. I would like to make it clear to all who don't follow the discussion
(and probably aren't reading this) that, while from the drift of the
discussion so far it doesn't sound like Anthony or moi will be supporting
each other's bid for political office, I recognize Anthony's tremendous
contributions to the project and wholeheartedly support him in his role.
...after all, in the reality visited by human programmers, A is A :{`)
