I can sort of relate: I am not particulary concerned with the licensing
issues and am willing to accept pretty much whatever those who have a
strong interest adopt.

...and if the vote's secret, who cares?

My real intention here is not to impune those who didn't vote, but to get
those who want to be partners stand up and be counted.  In retrospect, I
probably could have found a better way to do it.

If there are many more who didn't vote for the same reason, I may need to
reassess my position; but if the number of potential partners can be
counted on two hands, I still think open voting can strengthen group
cohesiveness and minimize unresolved conflicts.
