My real intention here is not to impune those who didn't vote, but to get those who want to be partners stand up and be counted. In retrospect, I probably could have found a better way to do it. If there are many more who didn't vote for the same reason, I may need to reassess my position; but if the number of potential partners can be counted on two hands, I still think open voting can strengthen group cohesiveness and minimize unresolved conflicts.
