#332: Very slow 2D experience with VX800 on NC20

I am not sure what is causing the very slow 2D experience with openchrome
on the NC20 laptop. I have seen that according to the list of supported
hardwares, the VX800 should have 2D acceleration, although it is not even
close to that on my machine. I am using Ubuntu kernel 2.6.32-12 for i686,
X server 1.6.0, and KDE 4.3.2. I notice that the DRI component fails to
load and I wonder if that's related to my problem. In particular opening
menus, scrolling, and switching windows has become an extremely painful
experience. See attached files for more information.
