I've gone back to my copy of OpenDX version 4.0.9 which I was once able to
compile (last Nov).
Well, it won't compile now. It gets half way through and complains about
some undefined identifiers (in fileio.c). I don't think we've upgraded our
compiler since I last had a successful compile, nor have I done a cvs update
on that directory hierarchy. I am currently at base compiler development
environment 7.3
under IRIX 6.5.5m. It's got to be something either in my environment or
possibly something I screwed up
when I was trying to get the old ImageMagik stuff to work, gave up and tried to
back out. I have also had trouble
regenerating GNU m4, which I must have been able to do at one time since I have
a
binary in /usr/local/bin/m4. I'm going to get a fresh copy of version 4.0.9 from
the
cvs archive and perhaps even do a reinstall of the GNU tools. That way I can
rule out
environment problems and not waste your time.
