Richard Thank you for setting up to use purify on opendx. I recommend you go to src/exec/dxexec and edit Makefile (or Makefile.am) to have the dxexec: target read $(PURIFY) $(LINK) instead of $(LINK) . At least that's what I do
Then just
setenv PURIFY purify
prior to make.
