Add another discovery: When I tried Prompter.bat, it showed "mscrit.dll is linking to a missing msvcrt.dll file", and ended with permission denied.
I have checked on my computer that msvcrt.dll is in window/system folder, and the system files are practically intact since I got my computer last Thursday. Where does mscirt.dll link to? > If you replaced the dxexec old one with the replacement, I am not > sure why would get Cannot connect to server, error > > Do you tcp/ip installed? > > Can you from VPE Start server? > > typing menu at the DOS prompy should start Exceed server itself > then open startupui. > > Suhaib > LD Jou
