This sounds like you need to edit your /etc/hosts file and add
localhost as 127.0.0.1.

I have installed opendx 4.1.0 for linux.
Everything works fine when I am connected to the net.
However when not connected I get this error message when I try to run or
edit a visual program: cannot find dxexec.
Also the line
"localhost: Invalid host DXLStartChild"
appears in the window were dx was started.
How can I run dx without being connected?
