example II:
Run Visual Programs -> load C:\opendx\samples\tutorial\Color2D.net
The Data Explorer starts up but nothing happens.
somtimes I could kill the Data Explorer window and got
the message:
"Could not Connect to Dxexec"
Anybody any suggestions to solve my problems?
Thanks
Martin Omlin
The first appears to be that a Windoze path is getting interpreted as
a Unix path with escape characters (\) embedded. (The early
termination of "C:\ is a giveaway).
I'm not sure about the second.
Please try some others in the sample programs directory like
AutoColor or AutoAxes and so on. I think by bad luck you chose one
that had a file dependency that many others do not have.
I'm most interested in how well or badly this works as I'm trying to
get the windows build to work consisently as well. We have it working
on a single processor W2K box, but it won't start the dxexec on a
dual-processor W2K. What kind of machine are you running on, and what
OS, please? Thanks!
