I've got dx running on linux redhat 6.2 2.1.XX kernel. I tried source
code too, and i had the very compiler message you've noticed. You've
got to install openmotif-devel too. Xm.h header file is included in
open-devel distribution. Anyway, I did install dx whithout compiling
anythng. I used opendx-4.1.0 distributon for Linux rh 6.2. available
from www.opendx.org . It is possible that you tried to install
ImageMagick for different glibc libraries as I firstly did :)). There
is a directory named glibc21 in ftp archve of www.imagemagick.org as I
remember, those files fit really
well. Check what glibc is present at your system and get matching
ImageMagick binaries. If you interested how did i installed dx
whithout compiling anything let me know i'll try to explain.

BTW, recently I've reinstalled my linux rh6.2 and i'm going to go thru
the installation of dx :). If u wish i'll write down something about
step by step instruction.

And what unix 'r u using? all of the above is applicable to linux
rh6.2.
