Problem solved now, just for anyone else who tries this it does install the windows Installer but dosn't do the necessary reboot. Once the install routine bombs out with the message below you need to reboot windows and run it again, then it will install no problem. David

However you could go to Microsoft site and download the Windows Installer for Windows98, install it and then run setup again.
