Thanks Mr.Gib Bogle very much. The advice is quite helpful. First I used
Showbox to make sure that there is object presented, then changed to image
rotation and I finally could see the image. This kind of expertises are very
valuable for the newcomers like me, thanks again.

BTW, I still want expertise to solve the first question in my previous email,
that is

I am using OpenDx 3.1.4 Window version under Cygwin/XFree86 on Windows 2000.
Prompter works but

1)When I tried to import image file (e.g. TIFF), once clicked Visualize Data...
button, the system was hung and the following message came out:
 Internal error detected at
"E:\dx\msvc\dx\SRC\UIPP\PROMPTER\FileContents.c":152. ....

abnormal program termination

I searched my system, I didn't see either E:\dx-msvc directory or
FileContents.c file, I don't know what's happen to this.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Tao

Subject: RE: [opendx-users] Problems in importing data

I can't help with your first problem, but when I was having trouble seeing
images I was given some useful advice. If you put Showbox before Image it
will create the outline of a box containing the objects in the display, and
therefore can be used to determine if any objects are present. You will
need to remove Showbox to see the objects. Also, use Reset in the View
Control dialog of Image to reset the camera settings to point at the centre
of the object scene and render all existing objects. Another point to
remember is that if you are viewing a flat surface edge-on you will see
nothing - you will need to change the view or rotate the image.
(I am quoting loosely from "OpenDX Paths to Visualization" from VIS Inc.)
