Hi Richard
I do not know the WinaXe Xserver you refer to but I suspect that the error
you have is caused by this being a non OpenGL compatible Xserver. Unless
the Xserver support OpenGL rendering in hardware, you will always receive
this message.
The recent versions (5.21 and above) of the Starnet Xserver X_win support
hardware rendering of opengl. They have a 2hour limited demo version on
their web site (http://www.starnet.com/).
Also, there is a port of Xfree under cygwin under development
(http://cygwin.com/xfree/). That works reasonably, but requires cygwin and
a bit of tweaking of the environment. Lastly, hummingbird Exceed () works
well, but costs money.
Good luck
Peter

Hello,
I have installed the windows version of OpenDX 413 on a Toshiba Laptop
with:
-Windows XP Family edition
-WinaXe 6.2 X server with GLX extensions activated
-NVIDIA GeForce2 graphic card.
Everything working well with software rendering, but hardware rendering
fails. The connection to the DX server is broken and here is the content
of the DOS window:

I did not find a solution on the mailing list archive. I checked that
there is a "opengl32.dll" file in c:\WINDOWS\system32 and an "opengl"
lib file in C:\opendx\LIB_INTELNT.
Any idea to get hardware rendering working?
Best regards
